“Skaleto” is a beautiful rock formation, situated near Tzrancha village. It had been used as a sanctuary in the late Bronze Ages and during the Iron Ages. The lands surrounding the village is studded with Thracian and Roman mounds and keep an old Thracian and Roman road connecting the settlement with the Aegean sea.
Amateur archeological researches of local teachers in the 1950s have found several skeleton obsequies and pottery. Other studies have revealed materials from the Middle Ages. Skaleto could be reached on foot or with a high passable vehicle taking the road linking Tzrancha and Vaklinovo villages (approximately 1 km).
